Compassionate. Catholic. Clinically Rooted.

Psychology with Dr. Lisa Petronis, Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

You don’t have to navigate this alone...

If you’re carrying anxiety, emotional pain, relationship strain, or spiritual hardship, you don’t have to carry it by yourself. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Lisa Petronis has accompanied adults and couples through life’s hardest seasons—helping them steady the interior life, strengthen relationships, and live more fully beyond the immediate crisis.

As a licensed Catholic psychologist and Marriage & Family Therapist, Dr. Petronis offers integrative, trauma-informed care rooted in a coherent Catholic anthropology. At a client’s request, faith is integrated—drawing from Scripture, the sacramental life, and the Church’s wisdom—within sound clinical practice. Her phenomenological training keeps the work grounded in lived experience: clear words, careful presence, and freedom ordered to the good. Formed as a Benedictine Oblate, she keeps a steady rhythm of ora et labora—prayer and work—that lends calm and focus to her clinical work.

How I Help

Every person brings a complex story—often marked by pain, shaped by resilience, and moved by a quiet hope that things could be different. Dr. Petronis listens carefully and responds with the best of clinical psychology and Catholic wisdom.

“Dr. Petronis’ approach was incredibly helpful… the environment she created was warm, safe, and non-judgmental, which made it easy to open up about my challenges.”

My Approach

Catholic. Clinical. Embodied.

Dr. Petronis’s approach is more than integrative—it is lived. As a licensed psychologist and marriage & family therapist, seasoned by trauma research and service, disciplined as a lifelong athlete, and formed as a Benedictine Oblate, she works from a quiet rhythm of prayer and work that steadies the clinical process. She meets clients with clear language and careful presence, uniting evidence-based psychology with a coherent Catholic anthropology.

From this foundation flow three commitments:

Clinical Rigor

Collaborative, goal-directed care using empirically supported methods—with clear goals, regular review, and practical skills that transfer to daily life.

Faith at the Center

Rooted in Catholic Tradition—integrated when desired, at your pace.

Lived Wisdom

Tools forged through steady discipline—prayer, study, and athletic training—helping build resilient habits of mind, body, and spirit.
